Winward, James (1822)
Family: Winward

 James Winward was born in 1822 in Rumsworth and christened on 14th April at Westhoughton. He was the son of William Winward (1777) and Margaret Green. In 1841 a silk weaver named James Winward was listed as living at Chew Moor, Lostock. He married Mary Taylor on 11th May 1842 at the Parish Church, Bolton-le-Moors. In 1851 he was living in Caldwell Cottages, Westhoughton and working as a silk weaver. In 1852 he was living at White Horse, Westhoughton and was working as a silk weaver. In 1861 and 1871 he was working as a silk weaver and living in Chapel Lane, Westhoughton. In 1876 he was working as a beamer in a silk mill. He died on 8th January 1881 in Church street, from heart disease.
