Alice Ainscough was born in 1897 in Pemberton and was the daughter of Thomas Ainscough (1854) and Ellen Parkinson. In 1901 she was living at 21 Turner's Yard, Goose Green, Ince. In 1911 she was living at 668 Warrington Road, Brynn, Pemberton, and working as a weaver. She married a man called Jack Peet and they had one daughter: Nellie.
